Antalya is one of the easiest major resort cities in Türkiye to get around without a car. Everything revolves around Antalya Airport (AYT), the huge Otogar long-distance bus terminal, the modern AntRay tram line that connects them directly, municipal buses, and super-affordable taxis + Bolt.

Tram & Public Transport Network

Antalya’s transport heart is the AntRay light-rail tram. One main line (T1) runs directly from the airport through the city centre and Kaleiçi area to the Otogar bus terminal. It’s fast, air-conditioned and connects almost everything tourists need.

Simple rule for tourists: Airport or Otogar → AntRay T1 tram City centre & Kaleiçi → tram or bus Lara / Konyaaltı beaches → bus 800 or tram + transfer

Airport Connections

Getting from Antalya Airport (AYT) into the city is quick and cheap thanks to the direct tram and bus links. The airport is the main gateway for almost all visitors.

Central Bus Terminal (Otogar)

The long-distance bus station is the main gateway for coach travel across Türkiye and to nearby resorts (Side, Alanya, Kemer, etc.). Located right next to the AntRay tram stop.

Antalya Otogar (Intercity Bus Terminal) Address: Kepez, Antalya Otogarı, Antalya, Türkiye (4 km north of city centre) Official website: https://www.antalya.bel.tr/ (or check ticket companies)

What you’ll find there:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Cafés, kiosks, currency exchange
  • Dozens of Turkish bus companies (Pamukkale, Kamil Koç, Metro, etc.)
  • Direct AntRay tram to city centre & airport

Important: All long-distance buses arrive/depart here. Buy tickets online in advance during high season.

Taxi & Ride-Hailing

Taxis and apps are the fastest way when you have luggage or travel at night. Official ranks at the airport and Otogar keep everything safe and predictable.

At the airport:

  • Official yellow taxis (24/7 at all terminal exits)
  • Typical fare to city centre / Kaleiçi ≈ 600–900 TL (depending on traffic)

In the city:

  • Bolt (most popular & reliable)
  • Uber also works
  • Official taxi ranks at Otogar and main squares

Golden rule: Never accept rides from drivers inside the terminals! Use the official rank or the Bolt app.

Car Rental & Shared Mobility

Antalya makes it easy to rent a car right at the airport if you want to explore the region (Phaselis, Olympos, Köprülü Canyon). No big bike-sharing system like in Europe, but car rental desks are everywhere.

Car rental at the airport:

  • All major companies (Hertz, Avis, Sixt, Enterprise, local firms)
  • Book in advance for best prices

Pro tip: Bolt also offers Bolt Drive (rent a car straight from the app) — perfect for short trips.
